Dark Souls is an action game set in kingdom of Lordran. The game is developed by From Software. The game takes place in a large and open world environment that encourages a trial and error approach.
The main character is an Undead, who has yet to become Hollow.
The player can not adjust the difficulty level of the game. The world is filled with weapons, armor, and items to assist the player as they progress. The player can summon each other for help in defeating foes, or invade each other's world with the objective of killing each other. The game features an online mode which is active whenever the internet is connected. The online mode includes numerous interactions between the individual players.
